In the Co-Adapted Braunschweig (COABS) project the overall objective is the knowledge-based development of components for a city-wide strategy for adapting to the consequences of climate change for the city of Braunschweig by 2025 together with various interest groups. SpACE Lab at ISU jointly with their project partners is responsible for translating these into concrete spatial concepts - the so-called Braunschweig climate pilots - and thereby gathering practical experiences for the implementation of measures.

Together with the City of Braunschweig and the IGÖ, we invite everyone interested to the COABS Auftakt-Forum under the motto "Together for Climate Adaptation" on Thursday, 21 September, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at the TRAFO Hub, Sophienstraße 40.

The event includes presentations on climate adaptation in municipalities, climate impacts in Braunschweig and gives an insight into the joint project "Co-Adapted Braunschweig". The lectures will form the basis for interactive workshops in which ideas for adapting to climate will be developed together. The SpACE Lab at ISU will also be on site with an interactive station!

Please register in advance by sending an email to klimaanpassung@braunschweig.de. The event is free of charge.

The kick-off forum is part of the Climate Adaptation Week from 18 to 22 September, during which various events across Germany will present the commitment and opportunities of climate adaptation at a municipal level.
